The history of the firm starts in 1870, with Francesco Stancampiano, in a small shop in Palermo near "Porta Sant'Agata", a colorful zone of the city. Thanks to his knowledges acquired from the great spanish and french school of the silverware, he succeeds soon to get success by the artisans of the silver of Palermo. The passion for the job of the noble metal and the constant commitment for the improvement of the quality are handed down from father to son. In the 1955, Eugenio Stancampiano decides to move the firm to the actual establishment of via Messina Marine, equipping it with a main office more comforting to welcome the new machineries. During the “Economic italian miracle” in which people desire to forget the narrowness imposed by the War and to enjoy of a recovered comfort, Stancampiano with his silvers' offer of luxury succeeds in gathering these needs transferring the prestige of the firm to the houses of his clients and affirming itself as leader of the sector in Italy. In 1973, the E. Stancampiano S.p.A was borned. The mark Stancampiano spreads and becomes of elegance and tradition synonymous to a large extent of the world. Today the firm brings forth its development with the experience of Mr. Matteo Stancanpiano, also President of the “National Federation Silversmiths Manufactures” (Federazione Nazionale Fabbricanti Argentieri), and with the energy and the enthusiasm of his two sons Giancarlo and Roberto that respectively cover the roles of Commercial Responsible and Export Responsible.
